Crafts in Action

The Aim

The aim of the Crafts in Action group is to promote and develop crafts and arts activities in the village and provide a platform for villagers to promote and sell their work. A wide variety of crafts are represented including wood turning, willow weaving, stained glass, rope work, crochet, knitting, modern textiles, leatherwork, screen printing and pewter ware.  As well as organising events the group proposes to develop people’s skills, confidence and enthusiasm by running courses led by experts in their field.

Annual Events

Each year there are two events staged in the Village Hall, the Demonstration Day in mid-August and the Christmas Market weekend in early December. In addition, and new for 2017, the group held a pop-up market in Burnham Deepdale in June putting the village onto the north Norfolk trade route.
