  • Algy’s Drive-Through Farm Shop

We, at Algy’s farm shop in Bintree, are supporting local communities with a supply of groceries. We have stock of most things, but supply is variable.

We have set up a “while you wait drive-through service”: come to the shop, pick up the grocery list, choose your items, hand the list through the window, wait while we pick and pack, you’ll be called over to pay and collect.

We have implemented this to keep a safe distance between staff and to enable customers to not be in close proximity.

We are looking at rolling out a delivery service too, but this will take a week or so.

Please see an example of the Algy’s Food Order Form. All items are subject to availability.

  • James is Baking from Home

We have a lovely chef, James, in the village who due to the corona pandemic has had to down tools at his place of work BUT not wanting to waste his talents is looking to bake for the community.

He has set up this webpage today Bakingfromhome.godaddysites.com looking to make bread, cakes and baked goods from his home near the village hall

Goods will be offered at cost.   Payment will be made via PayPal.  The existing batch of volunteers can either collect and deliver or he is thinking of perhaps a safe box at the end of his garden where goods can be collected.

Please spread the word to as many people as you can in the village.  This may save people doing unnecessary supermarket shops.   James is hoping to be operational by Thursday.

Please let us know if this is a good idea, whether you would be interested.   James has a contact form on his webpage .

This is very much in its infancy (literally set up today)  be patient and it could be an absolute belter of an idea!!!
