Saturday September 17th – THE DUKE

A British movie starring Jim Broadbent and Helen Mirren based on a true story from the 1961 of an art-stealing pensioner. When Kempton Bunton, a 60-year old taxi driver, stole Goya’s portrait of the Duke of Wellington from the National Gallery, it was the first (and remains the only) theft in the Gallery’s history. Kempton sent ransom notes saying that he would return the painting, on condition that the government invested more in care for the elderly. What happened next became the stuff of legend, only 50 years later did the full story emerge – a wonderfully uplifting tale.

Doors open 7pm – Film show 7,30pm  – Tickets £5.00 from 01263 860257 or on the door.

Saturday October 15th – IN THE HEIGHTS

A cracking musical from Lin-Manuel Miranda, the acclaimed writer of ‘Hamilton’. Set over the course of three days, involving characters in the vibrant and tight-knit Dominican American neighbourhood of Washington Heights, New York City. A thrilling film of unforgettable songs and amazing choreography, infused with the scorching rhythms and energy of a Manhattan heatwave, built on the infectious Latin rhythms of salsa & merengue alongside soul, pop, hip-hop and R&B. A word-of- mouth sensation on Broadway, this life-affirming story will enthral and delight audiences of all ages.

Doors open 7pm – Film show 7,30pm  – Tickets £5.00 from 01263 860257 or on the door.
