Crafts in Action

The Aim

The aim of the Crafts in Action (CinA) group is to promote and develop crafts and arts activities in the village and provide a platform for villagers to promote and sell their work. A wide variety of crafts are represented including wood turning, willow weaving, stained glass, rope work, crochet, knitting, modern textiles, leatherwork, screen printing and pewter ware.  As well as organising events the group proposes to develop people’s skills, confidence and enthusiasm by running courses led by experts in their field.

Take a look at ‘A Potted History’ of the group since its formation in the 1990’s.

Annual Events

Each year there are two events staged in the Village Hall, the Demonstration Day in mid-August and the increasingly popular and successful Christmas Market weekend in early December. In addition, for the last 2 years CinA has staged a mid-year weekend pop-up market. In 2017, the group went to Burnham Deepdale and in 2018 the crafters went to Blakeney, establishing the village on the North Norfolk Silk Road.
