To all parishioners
Due to the ongoing crisis with the coronavirus there will not be the usual parish council meeting in the pavilion However we will be having a meeting via Zoom and we warmly invite you to join us The meeting will be on Wednesday 27th at 7.30 We have decided changed the meeting to a Wednesday so we can do our Thursday clap for our wonderful NHS Please could you go onto the village website where you will find details on how to join It’s not difficult you just need to download the Zoom app If you have any problems please contact Joanna or one of the councillors we’d be only too happy to help If you just want us to discuss something at the meeting please contact us asp so we can pop it on the agenda We hope that you’re all keeping well Don’t forget we are here if you need any help
Hindolveston Parish Council
Given the current situation regarding Coronavirus it is not possible to hold parish council meetings in the Millennium Pavilion. Legislation has been passed to give parish councils the option of holding meetings virtually. Hindolveston Parish Council will be holding meetings via Zoom – this will also enable members of the public to attend virtually and to have oversight if they so wished.

The Chair and Vice chair of Hindolveston Parish Council have been in discussion about the forthcoming meeting on Thursday 19 March 2020 and Thursday 16 April 2020.
Due to the ongoing health crisis we feel that the meeting should be cancelled in everyone’s interest.

The parish council will do all we can to serve and support its parishioners.
Hindolveston Parish Council usually meets on the third Thursday of the month (excluding August and December) at 7.30 pm in the Millennium Pavilion.

Members of the public and the press are welcome to attend to witness your council in action. At an early part of each meeting, the Chair opens the meeting to the visiting public for input. This means there is no fixed agenda for this part. Points raised will be noted and if matters can be resolved there and then, all the better. For more significant matters, i.e. ones that may require further research and possibly a formal decision, it is unlikely that the Parish Council can or will deal with them at that time.
All members of the community are reminded that they are represented by the Parish Councillors so if they want the Parish Council to deal with a matter in a more structured way, then a more formal approach is advised. One option to ‘make your voice heard’ is to liaise with one of the Parish Councillors well before the a meeting, to request that an appropriate agenda item is included for the next meeting.
Other than this open phase of the meeting, the public are not expected to intervene unless the Chair specifically asks for input.
