Unfortunately the Mobile Post Office Van will no longer be visiting Hindolveston and the other villages in the area. The Post Master from Guist, who had the contract, is very sorry that he is no longer able to provide this service for the wider community. It is understood that the Post Office are moving to a new ‘model’ – a pop-up style post office in a public space. However no further details are available.
The Parish Council understands the concerns about the removal of this provision of a post office service and would encourage you all to contact the MP and the District and County Councillors so that they can put pressure on the Post Office to continue to provide post office services in rural communities such as Hindolveston.
Jerome Mayhew MP will be visiting the residents of Hindolveston and hopes you will come to meet him. He will be at the Village Hall on Thursday 20 July between 2:30 and 3:30 pm.
